Reviews and Ratings
I was pleasantly surprised by the spacious and clean room. The double sink bathroom and roomy shower were a nice touch, though the lack of decorations made it feel a bit cold. The service was top-notch, with friendly and accommodating staff going out of their way to provide vegetarian options not on the menu. The location, while not bustling with activities, was adorned with charming paintings and flags, adding a unique touch. The dining experience was a mix of delightful local ingredients but lacked variety, especially for a young picky eater. The facilities were well-kept, and the price offered good value overall.
Our stay was a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were huge and great for our family of 6, but we were disappointed to find only one or two dinner choices left by the time we ate at 7.30pm. The room, especially the bathroom, was roomy, and we appreciated the historical touch of staying in the Kennedy Room.
The hotel is a good place for exploring upstate NY, within walking distance to the castle. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but lacked decor compared to other areas. The staff was very friendly and helpful, making the stay pleasant overall. The dining experience offered limited hot food options, but the ambiance was great. It is unfortunate that the location is not very visually appealing, situated in a quiet residential area.
